Rent comfortable cottage in wood near Saint Malo in Brittany

Our wooden house is an eco-construction. It was built with renewable, energy-efficient materials that have a low environmental impact and produce the minimum amount of pollution possible.

Our house is made from:

Untreated wood (larch cladding, Douglas pine roof joists) and wood fibre for part of the insulation.
Cellulose fibres and duck feathers for heat and sound insulation.
Hemp, lime and natural pigments on the inner walls.
Stone for the facade and earth from the garden for the interior walls.

The cottage uses renewable energy: 16 square metres of thermal solar panels ensure the heating and hot water for the house.

The house has an attractive wood-burning stove that provides extra heat and avoids fossil-fuel use.

Electric utility by Enercoop: a French cooperative company, which only uses renewable energy. It is the only one in France in the form of a cooperative. Its founding members include Greenpeace and other proponents of environmental protection and the ethical economy.

Rainwater is collected.

Waste is sorted and composting encouraged wherever possible.

All of the household products are ecologically sound .

Inside

Ideal for relaxing and taking time to live as a couple, with family or friends (8 persons maximum). South facing, very light, solar panels for heating and hot water. Natural materials.

Downstairs:

Big living room of 70 m2, living room, library, hi-fi, TV, Internet Free WI-FI, Véranda, Kitchen with oven, microwave, American fridge, dishwasher. Washing machine. 1 Bathroom, 1 WC.

Upstairs:

4 bedrooms 1 bedroom with 1 double bed (160), 1 bedroom with 2 double bed (140), 1 bedroom with 1 double bed (140), 1 bedroom with 1 double bed 140 + 1 single bed 90. Mezzanine, games area and children vidéo. 1 WC.

Childcare articles (cot with mattress, booster seat, small bath and sun bath, pot etc …).

Pets not allowed.

Outside

The terrace with its awning lets you sip your favourite drink while contemplating the 2000 square metre, tree-lined garden or watch your kids playing with the equipment we provide for you: a large trampoline, a swimming pool, heated from may to september, a see saw and a paly house.

You can also take a siesta in the hammock or sunbathe under a parasol or in the shade of the banana trees.

You can prepare fabulous grilled feasts on our barbecue.

The bicycles we provide (2 for adults and 2 child’s bike) mean you can shop without using the car as well as discover the surrounding countryside.

The village has several small shops that cater for all of your basic needs.
